Barry Dowsett is a composer, sound designer, and 15-year veteran of the video game industry, having provided original music and sound design for a wide variety of console and casual games, including recent titles completed for THQ/Dreamworks, iWin, Activision, Google, Koko Digital, Lolapps, Eidos, Electronic Arts, and Microsoft Game Studios.Barry is also the co-founder of Soundrangers, and is an original pioneer in the online delivery of production music and sound effects built for video games and interactive media. Though well-versed in the concert music tradition, award-winning composer Eric Goetz is best known for his work in media, scoring numerous feature films, video games and short films. His film scores have been heard the last five years at the Seattle International Film Festival, as well as many other major festivals around the world. When not scoring films, Eric spends much of his time as the composer and sound designer for the award-winning game developer, Smashing Ideas, where he creates music and sound for numerous game titles for clients like Random House, Hasbro and Nickelodeon. A self-proclaimed science geek, Eric is also a member of the critically acclaimed kids music band, The Board of Education, which delights audiences all over the country with their humorous, sophisticated, science-inspired and narrative-driven songs. Catherine Grealish is a composer for film, media, and live performance with a wide range of experience in diverse musical genres. She is producer, partner, and creative director of Coffee N Donutz Productions, a Seattle-based independent film production company that focuses on making films featuring women in thought-provoking roles. A multi-instrumentalist, she has studied classical voice, and plays violin, piano, and guitar. Her music has been featured in award-winning films, including her short Ego Boost, which won the 3 Minute Masterpiece competition at the Seattle International Film Festival. Her music has been featured in many independent films, including Death and Destruction, Mercy Hospital, After All This, Nothing Against Life, A Musing, Playfish, The Four Loves, Busking Cadenza, Reversal, and The Dead Men. Eric Nielsen is a musician and artist who composes imaginative works for small chamber ensembles and orchestra. He is fascinated by the art of storytelling, and brings elements of this craft to his musical works. His most recent chamber piece, entitled "Stellar Surfaces," explored the cosmos from the perspective of a series of paintings by American expressionist Quentin Searles. Eric serves on the boards of the Seattle Composers' Alliance and Philharmonia Northwest and is active in the Seattle music community. Hear Eric's music at www.museric.com.



Jeff Tolbert is a composer and musician writing for films, advertising and video games. Films he has scored include the features Walk Right In and Modern Views, and the shorts The Last Virgin, Bobby Ellis Is Going To Kick Your Ass, Safe Passage, Scamp, Brains, Facing the Dragon, and the dance short Slip Cadence. He has written music for the games Faerie Alchemy, Chimpanzee Catastrophe, Faerie Solitaire and Ramps, and advertising and corporate video clients include Happy Candidates, Bakon Vodka, MovieMaker Magazine, and the Seattle nonprofit PATH. Jeff was president of the Seattle Composer's Alliance from 2009-2011. He studied film scoring with Emmy award-winning composer Hummie Mann and classical and jazz composition with Tim Huling, and has his B.A. from Oberlin College. A multi-instrumentalist, Jeff plays bass for Tiger Zane and blues guitarist James Howard, as well as playing various instruments, such as guitar, piano, ukelele, trombone, and percussion. He has played in bands including What Fell?, the Goat-Footed Senators, the diary of Anne Frank String Quartet, 80 Bones, the Penelopies, and the Fireproof Beauties. Glenna Burmer, M.D., Ph.D., is a composer, author, and physician-scientist with a passion for music, science and art. She is a co-founder of LifeSpan BioSciences, a healthcare services company, and founder and managing director of Burmer Music LLC and Burmer Art LLC, companies that are devoted to promoting and producing original music and art from talented Northwest composers, musicians, film-makers and artists.She has produced two CDs of her original popular songs ,“Smilin’ Eyes” and “Dinosaur Love” with Ken Fordyce of Mirror Sound Studio, and authored a book entitled “Bad Strumming” about her hilarious adventures in the music industry. She studies composition with Tim Huling of The Composition Lab and avante-garde jazz guitarist and composer Tom Baker. Tim Huling, a noted composer, orchestrator, and music educator, is the founder of The Composition Lab, a program that offers composers and students the opportunity to write original compositions that are performed and recorded by Seattle's top professional musicians. Tim is also co-lead instructor in the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program. Tim writes music for the concert hall, with recent premieres of a tone poem on the American classic "Moby Dick," chamber music works, and large-ensemble jazz. Tim also composes, orchestrates, and produces music for major motion pictures, independent films, video games, and advertising, including music for the Beijing Olympics, PBS’s “Inside passage,” the theatrical trailers for “Monster" and “The Passion of the Christ,” and motion pictures such as “Arthur”, “Mad Money”, and “Cyberworld:3D”. His clients have included PBS, Lion’s Gate, Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Seattle Children’s Theater, IMAX, Mattel, and numerous other film production companies. As a music educator, Tim has guided countless students in developing careers as composers and musicians, from concert premieres, scoring their first films, and learning about the art, craft, and business of creating music.
